The human brain holds the key to who we are, our thoughts, memories, actions, and perceptions. Consequently, brain disorders profoundly impact daily life and society. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is the most versatile and powerful way to visualize the human brain. The Netherlands leads in technological development of the strongest MRIs operating at ultra-high fields (UHF) of 7 Tesla (7T). These 7T MRIs are ready to transition towards routine use. This consortium unites all Dutch UHF MRI centers with a vision to rejuvenate the infrastructure, open them up to wider scientific community, and to push neuro- and clinical scientific innovations.
